Hello, world!
I'm Luke and thanks for checking out my website/blog. I've had many different forms of websites over the years and finally found a platform I enjoy. Here are some quick facts:
Born: 8/29/1978 in Fort Myers, FL
Schools:
San Carlos Elementary
Bonita Springs Middle School
Estero High School
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (bachelors in Business Administration)
Colorado Technical University (masters of science in Enterprise Information Systems)
I've had a pretty amazing life thus far. I was fortunate enough to have been born with some athletic talent. I grew up playing baseball and skateboarding. Playing baseball paid for my undergrad and gave me a chance to get drafted in 2000 and try my luck at pro baseball. I made it two and half seasons but learned life lessons that continue to help me today.
Music and Technology have also been huge influences on my life and had it not been for sports I would have probably focused on music production using software as it is a hobby that I cannot get enough of. This lead to the creation of a small independent record label that had a respectable run but died down. I am planning on bringing the label back online sometime in 2012. My music interests include mainly electronic, space, ambient, and hip hop.
My wife Angie was kind enough to marry me in November of 2009. Together we live in central Florida where she is a school teacher and I work in supply chain for a large global security company. We love to travel and enjoy life. You will see a lot about living and making the most out of every day in my posts. Finding an appreciation for yourself, your life, and your loved ones is very important and you'll read a lot about it in my content.
Subject-wise I am interested in just about everything. I tend to gravitate towards technology, nature, philosophy, human behavior, cars (huge gear head), history, and science. I read a ton of books but mostly in the special ops, covert CIA type stuff. This is obviously in addition to my passion for music and sports.
Thanks again for visiting and if you like the content of this blog please share it to your network. I've been putting off blogging for a long time and it feels right so I'm going to run with it. Here's a shot of myself and the queen on our wedding day. Happy reading!
